Squirrels can swim
9th May, 2014
Docklands workers took part in a marathon 24-hour swimming event this month in order to raise funds for people living with multiple sclerosis.
Fiive ANZ staffers were part of a team of 11 called the “Finned Squirrels” who raised more than $6000 towards the cause at the MS Megaswim at MSAC on May 3 and 4.
Teams who took part were required to have one person swimming during the entire 24-hour event and the “Finned Squirrels” managed to swim 59 km in that time.
ANZ worker and participant Oya McDonald said the MS Swimathon was a great way to encourage fitness and raise money for a good cause.
