Docklands resident Adrian Sargent initially did not want to own a dog, but eight years ago he fell in love with Maltese cross miniature poodle puppy Snooki.

Adrian said that he made the decision a year later to get miniature poodle Lucy so that Snooki would have company during the day.

At the time, Adrian and his partner were living in Sydney and had owned Snooki for a year.

Snooki and Lucy got along immediately during their first meeting and have been inseparable ever since.

“The first time that Lucy came around to the house, Snooki let Lucy sit on his bed,” Mr Sargent said.

While Snooki and Lucy are close, they both have their own individual personality traits.

“Snooki is a little bit crazy, so everything for him is about his ball; chasing his ball. He always has a ball with him. He also likes to go to the park and run around,” Mr Sargent said.

Mr Sargent described Lucy’s personality as more placid than Snooki’s.

“Lucy is a bit of a princess, everything is on her terms, she’s affectionate when she wants a cuddle, or she likes to be left alone to do her own thing,” Mr Sargent said.

Mr Sargent and his partner have been living in Docklands for four years. They live in an apartment with Snooki and Lucy.

“The apartment has a large balcony that is about 20 square metres. Snooki and Lucy go in and out as they please,” Mr Sargent said.

Snooki and Lucy also enjoy sun bathing together in the afternoon sun. Mr Sargent said that they were keen walkers.

“They are taken out at least three times a day. They are outside a lot which is good,” Mr Sargent said.
