Docklands’ DAM Busters Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Club has formed a partnership with the Think Pink Foundation, which aims to enhance the lives of survivors and raise awareness about breast cancer.

By joining forces, the DAM Busters hope to drive their membership with a come and try night having been held on June 18 on Victoria Harbour where both organisations celebrated in joining forces.

“Think Pink and DAM Busters are both based in the Docklands and can assist with the physical and emotional recovery after breast surgery and cancer treatments,” the DAM Busters president Sue Mason said.

This community relationship led to a special come-and-try dragon boating evening on Victoria Harbour where DAM Busters were able to invite Think Pink clients and Probus members into the boat.

“For breast cancer survivors and their families needing support, why not try dragon boating. You can register for a free dragon pass and join us on the water.”

Think Pink Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation providing free professional and caring holistic support to patients, families, and carers at any stage of breast cancer.

Both organisations were invited to speak last month at the Melbourne Bearbrass Probus Club’s general meeting. •
