There are several fun and engaging activities for the kids these school holidays in Docklands.

The Ice Slide is back at The District Docklands. It was such a hit last year that it has returned. Positioned just outside H&M, even on the busiest days the kids won’t have to wait too long for a ride.

The Melbourne Star is also returning its Spy in the Sky challenge. Equipped with special binoculars, kids will need to listen out for clues and act fast to identify landmarks from the floating cabins of the Melbourne Star!

Tickets available June 29 – July 14. PLUS, kids fly free – melbournestar.com

Speed Networking

Everything these days is time-dependent. Whereas 20 years ago we made a phone call, caught up for coffee, followed it up with a meeting a week later, now business is done at the twinkling of a bell … or so it seems. Our first Speed Networking night was such a success we’re going to offer them regularly. 60 businesses meeting over a drink, a two-minute spiel and a sharing of business cards. Look out on our websites – docklandscc.com.au or visitdocklands.com.au for the next event to come your way.

Who and what is the Docklands Chamber of Commerce?

Firstly, we are a not-for-profit entity formed to further the interests of Docklands businesses and the precinct in general. We are the main conduit for state and local government through to commercial and public entities. We advocate on behalf of all of Docklands – residents and businesses alike – and we ferociously promote this growing suburb as the jewel of Melbourne.

In the past year we have been on the ground floor getting Run 4 The Kids to make Docklands their home forever. Similarly, we started a movement three years ago that has finally seen laser and lights come to the Harbour for Firelight. We’ve broken through 200 business members in Docklands, 175,000 followers on Facebook and, in just the past 6 months, we have created over 150,000 clicks through to our member web pages. And just how much did that all cost? For some of our members it’s as little as $100 per year. Shouldn’t you be a part of it?
